Experience Days Tours: This two-hour walking tour of London will take you to some of the city’s most historic drinking establishments. Explore the capital’s colourful past as you visit the pubs and ale houses frequented by the great, the good and the very, very bad!
The tour begins outside Chancery Lane tube station, where you’ll be met by your expert guide. From there, you’ll follow a route through the historic city centre via its hidden back alleys and winding lanes. Along the way, you’ll stop off at several pubs made famous (or infamous!) by noted patrons—Charles Dickens, Dylan Thomas and many more. Your guide will reveal how the Victorians satisfied their craving for gin, before leading you to the spot where a notorious poet faced a duel. They’ll contrast the splendour of modern-day London with the dirty, seedy, drink-obsessed place it once was—a city whose ghosts still linger, hidden in plain sight.
